Fort Myers

As we move further down the map of Florida we come across the city of Fort Myers. With its renowned reputation for fishing and tones of historical and cultural attractions the tarpon capitol of the world should defiantly be your next vacation spot. It is different from the other two cities I have mentioned for the simple reason that Fort Myers is rich in culture and history. Your days are filled with educational enlightment and the nights with pure excitement. There are multiple museums to visit, but if nothing else you have to see all the historical sites that this city offers. You can start by visiting the winter homes of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford. Because the Colusa tribes were the first to inhabit this land today you can visit these places where the tribe once dwelled. Mound key, Koreshan State historic Site, and the Colusa Heritage Trail are just a few of the places that you must go and see.
As you watch the sunset from the beach you might be wondering where the party’s at, well let me tell you. There are a many options but ill only name a few. Lets start with a reggae inspired beach party at Junkanoo, or maybe some hometown entertainment where local musicians go and play at The Cottage, lastly if you are not really sure what kind of music you are in the mood for try Ricochet where it varies from country to hip hop.
So sit back and enjoy all that beautiful Fort Myers has to offer.
